First week of school is OVER! Now we begin the second. I think this semester's modules will prove to be a tough one to crack. I hope I don't falter because I absolutely cannot afford to. Aircraft Power plants 1, Fundamentals of Flight, Engineering Mathematics 3, Engineering Materials, blah blah. I'm expecting a long fight ahead. Anyway, celebrated Keith's belated birthday on Friday. Cointreau and 7UP gives you the best simple mix ever. An alcoholic orange soft drink. Blargh. Super busy week ahead, must keep up with assignments and extra stuff.

I haven't blogged in a very long time and I'm really sorry about that. Its been really hectic and I feel unusually stressed. Too many things on my mind I want to clear out but my schedule is not allowing it. I'm really not too confident for my results this semester. Not expecting much but hopefully I can maintain my GPA. Need to work harder next semester. Well, right now, I'm in Beijing, China for my ITP. I'm attached to Pratt & Whitney and so far, its been a real eye opener for myself. This is a list of my likes and dislikes of the place so far.

At this point, I would like to give highlights of my trip so far.

On the first day, I took an airplane for the first time in MANY years. Yes, I consider that a highlight. When we arrived, Beijing Capital Airport impressed me. The place is huge and beautiful. However, they have to improve on their immigration. Imagine only having ten immigration gates. Four of those for Chinese Nationals and six for foreigners. It was truly a long and gruelling process. The immigration card was funny though. Its referred to foreigners as 'Aliens'. I laughed for quite abit. After exiting immigration, we walked around before boarding the internal train service to the arrival hall. As you go through the building, you realized the shear magnitude of the building and the effort gone into decorating the place. Giant carved walls, giant ornate vases, just beautiful. I'm staying in this hotel called the CITIC Hotel Beijing Airport(formerly the Sino-Swiss Hotel). Its not a bad place just that its abit old. We had dinner with the principal on the 1st night at a nearby restaurant. Its really a very eye-opening meal, really local. Second day, we went over to the Pratt & Whitney Customer Training Centre. Its not really a huge facility but its really nice. Its clean, its spacious and its organized. Truly an American company by the way. Lunch was another spectacle. Buffet lunch, Western or Eastern, purely up to you to decide. The food is pretty good and I've really been enjoying myself. The lessons are good but the classroom is really stuffy and I wish the lessons could be outside in the shade. The weather is really THE BEST weather to study in.
On our first night out to town, we visited Dong Zhi Men, one of the main shopping district. However, its really like visiting City Hall in Singapore. I visited Raffles City. Yes, RAFFLES CITY. Exactly the same as in Singapore. I am disappointed. Really did expect more China than Singapore.Eventually the next few nights we ventured further and further out to the Silk Market area.One of the dinner, I had my first taste of an insect. I ate a silkworm pupae, it tasted pretty okay so I had two. One thing you notice when you travel around China is the contrasting images of poverty and wealth everywhere in the city. It could be a dirty, smelly street but by the next corner, it could be lined with flowers and absolutely clean. This is what you will see in China, the wealthy areas are filled with flora and fauna and cleaned constantly but when you walk into the real streets of China, you see old brick roads, people spitting and squatting in corners, and generally showing the real Beijing. I really enjoy the flowers planted around Beijing. They are all EXTREMELY beautiful and I wished that Singapore had those kinds of flowers. On our first weekend out, we visited the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. What can I saw about it except its the most amazing park ever. When you first enter the place, you see many locals engaging in different forms of recreation. The older people were practising calligraphy on the floor with larger brushes and small pots of water. The younger people engaged in more strenuous activities such as playing with the chapteh or Chinese yo-yo. There were also groups of people singing, line dancing and engaging in other more leisurely activities. Then, you enter the site itself, the place is just massive. I cannot imagine how much was needed to build the Temple of Heaven. The different buildings housed different relics which were used in the Temple, however, I feel that the artifacts were placed poorly and there wasn't sufficient lighting to properly display them. Still, i visited one of the most historic site in the world and it felt magnificent. We then headed off for lunch. We visited a interesting street near Tian'anmen Square. It just a modern take on a old shopping district with rows of modern shops in old shop houses. We ate in a corner restaurant which was actually not bad.We then left for Tian'anmen square and the Forbidden City. The place is HUGE. Walking from end-to-end of the palace took us two-and-a-half hours. The decor is so elaborate and intricate, especially in the gardens of the palace. There were all species of tress from pine to cedar, rock formations of all sorts and seas of flowers. I felt that the time spent there was insufficient to really see the full magnificence and epic-ness of the place. In the evening we went to Wang Fu Jing, the Orchard road of China. I think it was really meant for tourists and the things there are overpriced. We did eat scorpions, cicadas and silkworm pupaes. They were all nice(seriously) and was an interesting experience.
Other places we visited include the Summer Palace(Damn awesome for photo shoot), Olympic Bird Nest and Water Cube, all the major attractions. I need to go there again to shoot the places again. I also climbed to the top of the Great Wall. One of the my achievements of my life. I overcame my fear of heights to scale the massive structure. The view from 888m according to the marker and 600m from my watch was priceless. And although the winds were chilling, it was the best part of my trip. On the 15th, we had our graduation from the course and had a very nice graduation lunch provided by Pratt and Whitney. Part of me feels sad to have left China but on the other hand, I miss Singapore in so many aspects and thus am glad to be back. Well, I'm going to end this post here for now but as soon as I can think of more to say, I will blog again.

My blog is not dead yet! I just haven't got the motivation to post recently. Its been a long two weeks for me. I went for ITP local training in school from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. , Monday to Friday. The lecturer from Pratt & Whitney was Lily Fu, a very nice lady. She came to teach us about Pratt & Whitney engines then on the last two days, we went for factory visits to two Pratt & Whitney Subsidiaries, Eagle Services Asia and TOS. Eagle Services was something like a service centre for P&W engines and TOS was in charge of repairing the turbine blades and vanes which were damaged. Yesterday was Natsumatsuri! I managed to get a candy apple this year too! Which was really lucky. Overall I had a wonderful time at Natsu with all the food and company. I really want to post more but I'm really lacking material so I have to stop here. But I promise to blog more in China where facebook is banned. I'll leave you all with some pictures I took since the last post.

Okay, its been a really long time since I blogged but nothing much has really occured to me other than the fact that I have alot of school work, I'm really tired and my best form of entertainment is playing Team Fortress 2. I have to drag myself literally out of my bed everyday just to go to school because I have absolutely NO mood to. But today, as in literally 27th July 2010, I had the best maths lecture since I came to Singapore Polytechnic. The lecturer was EPIC. Really. He made the lesson interesting plus he was funny. First time this semester I haven't slept in maths lecture. Anyway, the second part of this post is to clear some photos from Cosfest. Yes, I am damn slow, I know. July is already ending. Well, better late than never, I guess?

Ok this is post-Cosfest week. Really, all I can say is the Monday after Cosfest is like waking up after dreaming you won a million dollars and realizing you have nothing. You just feel sad and empty. But right now, I'm totally looking forward to the upcoming cosplay events and especially next year's Cosfest. In my opinion, Cosfest is the most EPIC event every year and I always look forward to the following year's Cosfest. I also realize I meet more and more people each year which is of course, awesome. In the week, I also managed to complete my CATIA and Mechanics online quiz. I personally find this a miracle and an act of god. I wanted to post ALL of Cosfest photos at the same time but I believe it will be awhile because I'm slow and I have alot to edit(I'm still learning so some might suck). So, here are day one photos... I'm totally going to crash and burn. Going to sleep after this post. Anyway been pretty busy these few days. Mainly its weightloss(I hope.) and doing other random stuff, like looking for stuff for cosplay and eating. Went out with Kenneth, Eric and Chad yesterday afternoon to look for lolita boots for Chad. Also looking for stuff for my Mugi cosplay. Ate Arnold's fried chicken which was delightful, absolutely delightful. Did not disappoint at all. Went out with Ting Chen and Keith later in the evening. Went and chilled together because Keith and I don't see TC often(He's in JC.) Ate like at some Japanese place. I had Modanyaki which was nice. I liked it alot. Dropped by Giant to buy Roti Prata and Ice Cream and then headed off to Keith's house for dessert! Fast-forward to today, spent the morning fiddling around with CATIA and then headed off to SP to play soccer. Very, very funny game. All sort of random things happened and at the end of it all, we were literally rolling on the floor laughing. Anyway, thats it from me for now, I hope I can blog more often. Its just that recently, I have no urge to do so. So I hope to post again soon!

Oh my god, I totally owe my blog a post so I'll post on a few of the recent happenings. Firstly, I got my EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM! I love my new lens. Its superbly sharp and a constant wide apeture makes shooting in low light a delight. Really enjoyed using it at Streetfest and had lots of fun.

Next was SPJCC's Freshmen Orientation Camp 2010! 4 days 3 nights of fun! I didn't have a sleeping bag so I slept on cardboard boxes! Totally looked like a begger. Had loads of activities though my roles were mainly in logistics and technical support. Didn't have much tine to interact with the freshies. Played many games, screen 'Summer Wars', the World Cup(in the dorm rooms) and had a great time. I will be posting pictures soon! Anyway, this post ends here for now. I need to have a good sleep before I update again. Good bye and good night!

This update should have been done over the weekend but alas I didn't do it. Anyway I hope its better late than never and thus lets begin the trip! Firstly, I begin with Darrell's sister birthday. Happy 10th birthday Denyse! Met up with Darrell at Takashimaya to buy Denyse a present! Got her 2 plushies a dog and a squirrel. Both were TY beanies! Darrell then needed to change some cash back to Singapore Dollars so we went over to Lucky Plaza. Looked around for the best rate and then proceeded to get some food. Darrell then had a sugar craving then thus lead us in the search for something sweet while waiting for Kenneth who was meeting us before going over to Darrell's pad. Our search ended at basement 2 of Takashimaya where we entertained ourselves with a myriad of Japanese desserts. Kenneth later joined us for a sweet treat.

Oh before this we had the JCC freshmen meet! Had a handing over ceremony which included a hand washing ceremony, no pictures though but we met Hui Ning, Rui Ying, Hui Li and h0rse! It was awesome!

I think I'm going crazy. I feel as if I'm about to crack. However, I promised myself I would see this through. I'm am going to have things go my way. I will not fail, I will not be denied of my ultimate glory. Been quite busy recently with all my work. School work, CCA activities,, RunSnipe and so on. My only consolation is my beloved Hikaru-sama. Looking at him makes me feel much better and more relaxed. I really don't know why when I tell people I like Hikaru-sama, they instantly get the impression of gay sex which is really irrelevant. I mean can't I have a romantic friendship? Does it mean when 2 guys get together, they must conduct a ritual of anal sex? I mean, if you think this way, you're obviously VERY shallow. Two people don't need to have sex to be in a relationship unless they are looking for a sexual relationship. Anyway, I just don't see why people like to question me about Hikaru-sama, like its a crime to like someone. If you can't love someone, don't disrupt me loving someone. Anyway, enough with the ranting. time to recap on some interesting events. So golf shall be today's topic. Since the commencement of my handicap lessons, I think I'm roughly halfway through the lessons. Will be getting my handicap as soon as I start playing on the course(Yeah, like I have the time and money to do so.). Been revising the basics, touching up on my swing so on and so forth so hopefully, I will be playing for Singapore Polytechnic. To end this post, why not some photos yeah?

And so the second and third week of school have come and gone. Yesterday, the rashness of youth once again overtook my sanity. Went to a FCC bonding event, with Samantha, Zakie, Billy, Darren, Unker, Peter, Alvin and Jasper, in which we watched the two biggest movies showing in cinemas now. Iron Man 2 followed by Ip Man 2. Right now I'm totally shagged but I'm still blogging which I have no idea why as well. Yeah we spent our time telling stupid jokes while waiting for the movie to start. Apparently, Samantha is easily amused by Singapore jokes. Enjoyed both movies although both could have been better, but nevertheless they still were impressive. Had hotcakes after Ip Man 2 at the small McDonald's cafe outside the Heeren. If you dine there, food is delivered up there from their main outlet below. Sweet. Went home with Jasper on 143. Literally fell asleep on the bus and woke up just before my stop. Talk about lucky... Anyway, the next pictures will be from our trip to Akibanana to drink beer and photo walk/shoot. Its OK to critique because only through your comments can my photos improve!

Life is tiring. Really tiring. Lots of homework, club work and I need to find a job to sustain my expensive hobbies. I wish I can sell the random stuff in my room and else where around my house but no one seems to be interested in them. I still have to call the photo studio about the part-time job. Life can be so busy sometimes I wish I could be like Sakuya and stop or slow time down so that I can complete all the tasks to the best of my ability. I really need time to rest. I want pancakes too. Strange how I felt so sick of pancakes just 2 days ago and now I'm craving for McDonald's fresh hot pancakes. Hello! I'm back again! This time with photos from the first week of Year 2 at Singapore Polytechnic! The first two weeks of poly has been really hectic, tiring and not to mention confusing. Class has been really tough so far. I guess I need to up my game again this semester but I'm sure the Marist blood which runs within me will prevail against all odds. Prepared for CCA drive(which is currently on-going, tomorrow is the last day) with FCC and JCC. Got roped in for golf as well. Manned the golf booth on Wednesday with Graeme. It was kind of a slow day(its golf, how many people do you expect to join 200?) so I stared at pictures of Jessica from Iplehouse to reinforce my will to save enough money to buy her. Classes are mostly aircraft-related now. Aircraft Structures and Repairs, Aircraft Maintenance Practice, Aircraft Electronics and Instrumentation Systems and CATIA. The others are common modules which I guess the other courses in the School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering take as well. Its really sad though, but our class got divided. Reuben, Wei Nan and Chin Kang got moved to class 26 but otherwise the rest of the class are all still together. This semester's lecturers are pretty nice except for one who is totally anal. Pretty much sums up what I'm doing now. Looking for a job too. I need to supplement my spendings and saving to buy my doll and camera lenses. So this is a wrap for now, see you in the next blog post!

Hello again! First week of being a year two is coming to a close. Tomorrow's lesson includes Computer-Aided Drafting(DARE) and a Aircraft Maintenance Practice extra lesson. JCC meeting after that and a RunSnipe meeting after the JCC meeting. I have a feeling tomorrow will be tiring. Anyway, the past week has been confusing. The lessons are confusing, I have no idea what I have to do and the weather is horrible. Will post photos of the first week as soon as I get my card reader back. Okay, so basically the past week involved alot of 'cooking'. Why cooking? The reason lies in the barbeque I organized. There was alot of left over food. Cleared half of the chicken thighs, all the basa fish and some sausages. I made fried fish from the fish fillets with a little batter. does anyone want to try some? My parents are back from Shanghai. They bought me two pairs of shoes to replace my current pair which are probably in simple terms, worn.

Ah, today was another long day. Inclusive of yesterday, I am one very, very tired "Uncle Choo". Yesterday had a mass CCA meeting where they were discussing the CCA showcase and clubroom discussion. Represented SPFCC together with Unker, Alvin and Elaine. Alvin left half-way due to ITP and therefore it was reduced to Unker, Elaine and myself. We had to vote on the future of the foodcourt 3 clubhouse area so we voted for the open cubicle concept. Yes, clubrooms of the future will be cubicles. How sad. Stayed in the clubroom for abit and watched Qubic conduct an oragami workshop. Took the 6 kilos of charcoal in the clubroom. And so why was I taking charcoal home? Well, we had a cookout at my house. Billy and Ryan were late to buy the food. Lots of food for the party. Met the two at 4p.m. and off we went shopping for the food. Bought chicken, pork, sausages, sweetcorn, et cetra et cetra. As we shopped, Graeme and Darren joined us and helped us. Went to pay for the stuff, total bill was $120. I paid $50 and Darren paid the rest. As we were leaving, Eileen joined us for the festivities. She helped us move the stuff over to my house. We did the preparation for the cookout. Jamie arrived sometime later and she 'helped' in the preparations. Darrell and Mikan came next. Got Darrell to move the car out of the porch. Darren took a ride in the car, he seemed to enjoy it. Both Darren and Darrell. So the party continued. Massive thanks to everyone for coming and helping clean up. Thank you all. Slept and went golf today at Marina Bay. The greens were really tough. My drive was to the right and my short game was lousy. I need more practice. I'm going to sleep now. Really tired. Good bye for now, will blog again soon. Promise.

Its time to clear up some of the past month's events but first, a recap of the easter weekend. Friday was relax in the morning, emergency JCC meeting in the afternoon and drinking party at Keith's place in the evening. Saturday was chore day in the morning. Went to velocity to eat ramen for lunch. Ramen monster is not nice. The soup base is horrid and the char siew is hard and dry. I give it a rating of poor. Sunday was basically watching the 2010 Petronas Malaysia Formula 1 Grand Prix and eating.

Today, I collected my G51Jx-A1 from ASUS and I took many photos of my new darling. Oh she's such a beauty. All the extra lights and random shenanigans.

Yes, I was at Akibanana today. Today, I ordered Mixed Fruit Tea. We(basically, Darrell, Justin and myself) were served by Mikan-sama. Two teaspoons of sugar, thank you. Darrell redeemed a ADDICTION for Justin. Whats ADDICTION? Well, its deep fried salted chicken skin. Very unhealthy indeed. Also before Akibanana, was at Maxwell food centre. I ate good chicken rice, the rice was nice and tasty and surprisingly not oily, the chicken was very tender. I would give the meal an 8 out of 10. Though it was slightly expensive. Back to Akibanana, the mixed fruit tea is indeed an interesting choice. When Mikan-sama first poured the tea, it was pink. 10 minutes later, it was 2 shades darker. Progressively, the tea turned from pink to deep red. Awesome tea. Next time, I will try Earl Grey?

After leaving Akibanana, we went to satisfy our ramen cravings. 7 North Canal road. It took 3 guys almost 30mins to find one ramen shop. We walked and walked till we reached out destination. Hot and sticky. We ordered three bowls of ramen, one salt, one soy-sauce and one miso. went home after that. More pictures of my G51Jx-A1.

Anyway, Jimmy(the guy I was told to call) told me to expect my replacement somewhere next week and sue to a shortage of parts for my G1Sn, they are giving me a brand new G51Jx. I really don't know whether I should be delighted or what.

P.S. As of this posting, I will be checking with ASUS again on Monday. More photos will be up as soon as post-processing is complete. Expect next post to be longer than usual?

I love their outfits. They are always so pretty.

And so over the weekend, I had a packed schedule to keep me occupied from the morning all the way to the night. On saturday, I went on a photoshoot with Chibi(Nette) and the gang. We went to Punggol Beach for the shoot. So I woke up pretty late on the day itself and was late by about and hour(Sorry to the gang). When I arrived at Punggol, it felt like a totally different country. Seriously, it is in the middle of nowhere. Houses there are sparse and there was flat grassland EVERYWHERE. Waited for the cosplayers to do their thing, basically make-up, wear wig and that kind of things. Meanwhile, chatted with Clinton about stuff while waiting. Oh yeah, Clinton was on his first cosplay photoshoot so it was a pretty new experiece for him. After the cosplayers did their thing, we set off for Punggol Beach. Took a walk to the bus stop and then waited for a bus to Punggol Beach. Punggol Beach is like some super deserted beach. Basically, the main feature is a single jetty. There is also a police station, vending machine, ice-cream man(Yes, I felt he was a landmark there) and a beach. It was a worderful place for a photoshoot personally. There were many different scenes and the sky was just very different not your usual bright blue sky. There was the beach, rocky outcrops, some undergrowth and grass patches. Therefore different pictures to play with. For this occasion, I also managed to borrow Darrell's Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lens. The lens was wonderful. Though I was mostly shooting between f/2.2 and f/2.8, the lens still gave me an outstanding depth-of-field. The autofocus was quite good but wasn't perfect. I had a few out-of-focus shots but mostly still salvagable. I think I have fallen completely in love with fast prime lenses. They are such wonderful pieces of equipment. Anyway, I will be posting some pictures later in this post.

Today, Clinton and I went to Black-Technology at Bedok for a NERF tounament. No pictures this time because I was participating. Game style was a 3-on-3 team deathmatch. Points were counted per game won. My team consisted of Clinton, Zinv and myself. We finished 4th or 5th amongst the 7 teams with 2 wins and 4 losses. Not bad I would say since its been a long while since I last went for a war. It was pretty exciting thoughout except I wasn't very comfortable using Zinv's Raider as I was not used to the way of firing the weapon. The weather was very hot and now my skin is like red. Probably sunburnt but I had a great time so its all cool. Kenji came over to my house today to collect his bow. We sat down and talked for quite long. He was pretty interested in some of my house's random items. Especially the pogo stick(Yes, I own one). Okay, will be stopping here for now. I feel that this month will be filled with posts so stay tuned.

I have a thing for ice princesses. Not the typical frigid bitch. Those are just plain retarded and not to mention everywhere. Real ice princesses have a certain royal aura to them. The have something special that only some people can see and appreciate. Real ice princesses do not have to be the most beautiful creatures on the exterior, what really matters is that on the inside they are not just a rock, stone or pebble but a diamond of exceeding calibre. The reason I'm writing this is because, I believe I found a ice princess. Now its a matter of whether I can melt that diamond heart and fuse it with my diamond heart to form a complete heart.

Today, I went to a maid cafe for the first time in my life. It was Darrell's idea to bring me there along with Darren, Alvin, Jordan, Justin, Unker, Ken and Ken's friend. Yes, I liked it. I'm not going to deny. The place was very pink. Very, very pink. Almost as pink as my blog. Maybe even more pink... Anyway, I have to say, I absolutely adore the interior decor. Pink drapes, pink sofa, heart-shaped pink pillows, pink chairs with furry ears, optic fibre lamp(Loves it) and lots of other beautiful decor. Today, we were served by Yui-san(Maid) and Felser-san(Butler). Firstly, we were served with strawberry-flavoured water(Very nice) and a cold towel(Very nice too).

Moving on to ordering, basically, Darren and I were lured to the maid cafe because we heard there was a 1-for-1 beer promotion, which wasn't going to happen. Anyway since we were already there, we decided to just drink. The menu was very nice too. I liked it alot. It was frilly and pink! Anyway, moving back to the main story, Darrell, Darren, Unker and I decided to share a jug, which meant a mug for each of us. Alvin and Justin got Flower Sodas. Ken and Jordan got Gummy Sodas. I don't know what are Flower Sodas but from what I see, they look like carbonated water with syrup and longans(No flowers). Then there was the gummy sodas which were soda water(presumably) and a mini-cupful of gummy candies for you to throw in. Then came the beer. Felser-san came to serve the beer, unfortunately I guess she didn't have much experience, she spilt some of it. Yui-san came over to save the day!(Sounds very lame but not that I really care) Felser-san, we forgive you! We understand completely! Anyway, when we tasted the beer, we were utterly disgusted. It was sour. The worst a beer could possibly taste. Anyway, we explained that the beer tasted funny and so they told us that they would not be charging us for it. Personally, I was hoping for something more but on the bright side we didn't have to pay 39 dollars for that jug of beer. Then we decided to order something else. Darrell went with a Spicy Japanese Cola while I took a Super Enhanced Cola. To supplement the cola, we got an Elephant to share. We actually planned to order a Bird's Nest but we were informed by Felser-san that they didn't have that. Darrell then asked her what did they have and so they only thing they had was the Elephant. Spicy Japanese Cola was basically Coca-Cola with wasabi, Darrell took a sip and said it wasn't spicy enough so Felser-san added more wasabi until it suited his taste which is proabably god-like. Super Enhanced Cola was Coca-Cola with sugar solution? I'm not sure myself but it was very sweet(I liked it alot). Next was the much anticipated Elephant! Actually it was just an oriental sausage wrapped in bacon and coated with Japanese breadcrumbs. It came with 2 toothpicks in which cherry tomatoes were stuck.

It was actually quite nice and tasty. Sitting down for almost 2 hours took its toll and I decided to visit the loo. It was pink too. Wonderful. After finishing my business, I decided to take a souviner. Only the people who were at Akibanana know what I took. Not sharing with my readers for now. I decided not to waste the beer and chugged my mug along with Unker's. Unker had to leave early because he had reservist training. It was horrid but who wastes beer. Before we left, Jordan decided to have Yui-san feed him his matcha cheesecake(This service costs money for those who are thinking its free). We were requested to fill in a survey form and I asked if we could leave our mark in the guest book before leaving. Hope to see you soon Felser-san and Yui-san! After moving off from the cafe we visted Maxwell food centre for more food. Oyster biscuit, sweet potato pastery and so on. My final destination was Darren's house. We went to visit Darren's dog Ah De and my was he lively. he kept on licking Justin and I played with him. After that, I went home and started posting this. I'm not posting any J-Rocker's picture because I'm not using my own computer and I'm also lazy to find a nice one so I'll post one another time. I'm also suprised at the speed I'm blogging this few days...

And so today we celebrated our glorious leader's graduation from Singapore Polytechnic. Elaine and the rest of the FCC people decided to throw a 'surprise' graduation party for Darrell and the rest of the FCC seniors. Its was held at Grill@Moberly. Me, being the totally crazy nutcase, decided to walk to school, at 12noon, when the sun was oh so high up in the sky, blazing down on Earth. I hope I got tanner at least. When I got there, I went straight to JCC clubroom to drop off my stuff and things like that. Then I went to the celebration. However as it turned out, Darrell was absent from the festivities and he was only headed to the celebrations when I went for the JCC committee meeting.Fast-forwarding the meeting and rejoining the festivities, we ate alot of satay, noodles(very nice), garlic bread and all your usual barbecue food. Yummy. Anyway, I want to wish Darrell and the rest of my seniors all the best in their future endevours and come back and visit us ever so often!

Its finally over! The exams! They are over! On that note, I want to say that I am personally over the moon. Just waiting for results on the 24th of this month. I hope I do well enough to keep my GPA above 3.5. Moving on, I hope that I can earn enough this holiday to buy my dollfie and a 50mm prime lens at least. That will probably be about $1700? Oh god, I feel so screwed now considering to add on to that I have both JCC and FCC committee work. At least I'll be kept busy this holidays. I'll also be honest with you, life without my laptop is PURE TORTURE. Its worse than the exam blues. Its horrible! Someone save me. Well, I see you all soon.

I felt depressed when I heard Hime Ichigo was disbanding but I recently found out that Suzuya is forming a new band called the LEM. Hope they begin soon!

So this is my mid-exam post and frankly speaking, the exams are not going spectacularly. I have been really panicky before each exam and become very nervous. I can't seem to compose myself properly. Happy Chinese New Year to all who will view this. Wishing all of you 恭喜发财，万事如意。身体健康，龙马精神。So, in this post, I want to post some pictures on my long journey home since I forgot my EZ-Link card. It was very tiring with the sun scorching on your back and carrying a field pack(My camera, laptop, canteen and other random school stuff). Anyway, exams are next week. Not a very exciting Chinese New Year for me this year. I do hope next year Singapore Polytechnic re-adjusts their timetable. Going to sleep early, tomorrow is day 2 of the Chinese New Year, hopefully the intake will be good. I also had a good day in Team Fortress 2. I decided to get my ASUS G1Sn dealt with another day. Right now, I have more pressing issues to deal with. Firstly, I want to say, I thought my Critical Reasoning Skill teacher was reasonable. The point is I thought and I didn't realise she wasn't a very nice teacher. She enjoys butting into people when they speak and now I have a very bad feeling that my Critical Reasoning Skills grade is gone. Seriously, I don't want to do Critical Reasoning Skills. To all my blog viewers, I am not lousy at engineering. I'm just bad at the subject which are completely NOT related but come along. I'll admit I'm not putting in enough effort but that aside, I'm not a good public speaker. Give me a pen and paper. I'll write my reasoning out just don't get me to speak in front of people. Its not in my personality. Some people will do well for this, I know it but not me. I'm not a public speaker. I'm an engineer. I solve practical problems. You want designs? Go to a design student. You want to hear people good in public speaking? Go to a mass communication student. I get straight to the point and solve the problem. I show you my solution and its up to you whether you want to use it or not. Now I'm really screwed for Critical Reasoning Skills. I need to do research about my points which happens to be ALL of my group's arguments which leaves me a hell lot to say. Plus, I need to study for my other subjects. I'm serious, who said that polytechnics were a walk in the park should be shot. My mood isn't very good now. I seriously can't wait for the holidays. I need a job, then I need to save up for my dollfie. On the bright side, I have begun saving for my dollfie already and I can probably get my dollfie by the end of this holiday. Hopefully. I have completed my GEMs. Can strike off one more thing from my to-do list. Once Tuesday is over, I'm going to close the curtain on Critical Reasoning Skills. Its been awhile since I posted anything substantial. Well, I hope this is substantial. Firstly, there was SP Open House '10. Basically, we're supposed to show the good side of coming to Singapore Polytechnic and distorting the workload by only displaying the CCAs. Helped on Day 2 with FCC(Food Connoisseur Club) and Day 3 with JCC(Japanese Cultural Club). I had lessons before helping FCC but all we did in ONOW(Our Nation, Our World) was play puzzle games, which was pretty fun.

EOY is over! First time it was held at the National Library and hosted by Black Alice. Personally the event was pretty good considering Black Alice was hosting it for the first time but there is still alot to be desired. EOY was a photographers nightmare. Lighting was horrible and the crowd made taking photos impossible. Nevertheless, I had fun at EOY. Hopefully, EOY will be back at EXPO or somewhere bigger and better! As I mentioned above, I won't be posting photos this time round as there aren't very nice. Well, this is wishing you all a happy new year if I don't post then!

Merry X'mas to you all! EOY is tomorrow! Totally NOT prepared for it. My 580EXII(FYI, that's my camera flash) is in service. OK anyway past few days were pretty random and not to mention tiring, yesterday was baking cookie for Luca, modding Darren and my Maverick, Wednesday sent my 580EXII to service and attempted to get my Nokia N85 repaired. Note attempted which means my phone is still in service and I have lost ALL my contacts so contacting me without mentioning to me who you are is not going to work because I'm using a spare phone. Bought Ryan a X'mas gift too. Tuesday was at Singapore Flyer doing a photoshoot with Shun An and friends. Sat on the flyer too. They are having a student promotion I think? $10 per entry. Will be posting photos of the shoot later in the post. Went to dinner with Keith, Ting Chen and Auntie Jean. Ate chilli and pepper crabs(Both were spicy) and had yogurt ice-cream for desert? Now we shall put pictures of the SHOOT!

Hello all! This is my 50th post on this blog! Haven't blogged for almost 2 weeks I realized. Anyway, EOY is this weekend! So damn excited! Not cosplaying though, won't be cosplaying again till Natascha is up. Therefore, going as a photographer. Yes, yes, I know, AFA pictures are STILL not up yet. MSTs ARE OVER! Spent last night at Billy's house. Got SOME sleep then woke up at around 7 a.m. and played Touhou 8: Imperishable Night. Completed easy mode with Reimu/Yukari. After that went home and went out with Alfred and Luca to buy his wig. I got some hair extensions for myself too. Met up with Invinc later and played L4D 2. Not very sure I like it though. Anyway, the holidays are here and I am going to party!

But I totally screwed up today's Computer Programming, crossing fingers for tomorrow's paper. REALLY need to study now. AFA pictures are probably 60% completed, so they'll be up real soon! Its official, MSTs begin tomorrow. Beginning with Electrical Technology which is at 1330 hours. Realized, I've got many things to do after the MSTs, most importantly is EDITING AFA PICTURES! So far only edited 3 out of the 20-plus pictures. I hate studying for tests. It means my other things are put on hold and this usually causes backlog(Which I really hate by the way). Hope this week passes okay, then its the holidays. Expecting a moderate amount of work to settle from CCAs and certain modules. Need to finish my club registration. Argh! So many things to do, so little time, not to mention money. Anyway before I go back to studying, I'll post a preview of my AFA shoot.

Yeah, and so the past week was pretty hectic. Had ALOT to do. On Wednesday, had dinner with the principal(Not kidding) at the Stock Pot down at Esplanade. Had a Leek & Onion soup, which I must say, was very nice. It was very peppery and flavourful but the price was a tad high if I had went alone. However, we were surprised when the principal had foot the whole bill. After the meal, we had a pretty long conversation with the principal. After that we left. Apparently, Alan was across the Stock Pot in a cookie museum where they had alot of funny flavoured cookies like Nasi Lemak. Went to a Hong Kong diner to eat more. Anyway, pictures of the soup.

Friday was SMAE day. I learnt on Friday, that SMAE day is the MOST epic day in the SMAE year. During the show there was shouting, throwing of paper, but basically going nuts. During the buffet dinner, the seniors took the whole LT18A, literally brought in 1/2 the buffet and a container of fruit punch. Best buffet party ever.

Finally, yesterday, I went to watch 2012. Not the most epic end-of-the-world movie but seriously, The Day after Tomorrow was much better. Only thing nice about the show was the Arks(Yeah, I love technology). Anyway went to do photography after that and this was the result.

Yesterday, I went to Fort Canning for the 3rd consecutive week. Why? I'm too lazy to explain. Any the lighting was good, I brought my camera, therefore I went shooting.I like this photo. There's an autum feel to it even though its just the sunlight.

Yeah, and so why I was at Fort Canning was for this sole reason. NERF! The gameplay today was simple, storm the 'hot gates'. Inspired by the movie 300, Hex decided that it would be fun to have a NERF war to re-enact the EPIC battle between the Spartans and the hordes of Asia. Objective, Spartans: Survive for 5 minutes. Persians: Eliminate the Spartans. Note, Persians were able to re-spawn, while Spartans? You only live once. As quoted from SgNerf:" At one point, it was literally raining darts." Must be refering to the scene in 300. Haha!

And so I post something new. Another week of school just began and I realized I need to start studying. DotA competiton match 1 begins on wednesday. Team Sakura Youkai VS DMIT. Expected result: Loss. Yeah and so Halloween is over. Apparently costume parties were a RAGE! God knows how many costumed people I saw yesterday and it was weird. For those of you who are thinking "If JQ does cosplay, how is this weird??!?!", all I have to say is Halloween and cosplaying are totally different. Seriously. OK, so going back to what I did yesterday. Well, I went to collect MORE medicine after I lost the previous set SOMEWHERE. Rushed off to FCC committee meeting after that. Talked about SP open house, spices and some other stuff. Wrapped up around 3.30pm and we went to carrefour to buy drinks. Then Alan was talking to me about Bruce, the DMIT club President and how he was going to do a Micheal Jackson and say 'This is IT'. HAHAHA! Went to Fort Canning next to take pictures and this is what I generated.

NERF at night. A VERY new experience. It was good, playing in the dark is a very new experience. Unfortunately, I lost darts at an exponential rate due to the darkness, dart-finding is a pain in the ass. Hexshot brought very interestingly shaped agar agar, in the shape of brains, hands and whatever body part. Looks gross, feels gross but tastes DELICIOUS. Apparently, Hex graduated as a chef. Anyway, other than a few logistical problems everything went without a hitch.

Coming events? AFA 2009. Can't wait. Anyway, this blog will be used for my GEMS as well as stated above.

I'm back from SPJCC camp and ITS FRIGGIN' AWESOME! HELL YEAH! LOLICONS WE ROCK! Totally had fun doing weird things, listening to anime song under then moonlight and pretending to eat ramen when it was really maggi mee. Acting out a L4D parody skit, going for amazing race building straw towers, folding origami, seeing chadou(Japanese tea ceremony), waking up damn early after a long night to see the sunrise. Oh the shenanigans we conjured. Anyway, a quick rundown of my group members. 1st is Hui Xian, our group's battery, without her, we would all be half-dead.2nd is Eileen well, i didn't talk to her much but i thought she wuz cool.3rd is Luca, I met her last year at the cosplay challange but didn't get to know her much, but i get to know her better from the camp, she's awesome as a witch haha(she's also the resident moe char)XDD. 4th was Ryan and he was the group's hero type guy haha and no. 5 is Delvin, the quiet but the one you can count on(Yuki-chan)Lastly is Darren, Biily's classmate and known to us as the cooler darren.And there were out facils MiMi, YuYu, AiAi and Haizul. What can I say except that they are cool.

Well like YAY! Life since my last post wasn't too bad, I'm beginning to warm up to my class and i just discovered there is a DVD pirate in my class! Anyway, I attempted a extended barrel modification on my Longshot CS-6 and it has it pros and cons. While it did improve the consistency of my shot and none of my shots went fish-tailing but my range reduced probably 20-30%, so I took it off. Will probably use it for cosmetic purposes only. Other than that my week is going okay and I can't wait for CCA to start. SPJCC and SP student golf!

Ok! Time to recap all the things I have done within the past few day. By the way, sorry for the long delay between posts. I haven't felt the urge to post anything much. Ok, we shall begin from today and work backwards. Today, I went to school for 2 hours for electronics lecture. Damn sian. Then went home and slack then went for a blood test. Sigh, I'm not afraid of needles, I just don't like them poking in me. Moving on, yesterday was another NERF war, this time in urban environment, at a church! It was really fun and the turnout was amazing. Then from Wednesday to Friday, we have our CCA maze. I have joined my friend, h0rse, in SPJCC(Singapore Polytechnic Japanese Culture Club) and Singapore Polytechnic Student Golfers. Graeme is going to drag me into Paintball. Well thats it for now. Well, its wednesday of the 2nd week of SP. Finally got some homework to do, not to mention a speech to write for tomorrow's Oral Communication class and Mechanics tutorial. Today, I was cosplaying at SP outside foodcourt 5. Not many cosplayers, which I pretty much expected due to the fact that they decided to hold it on a weekday, so it was basically me and 6 other cosplayers. So moving on, I managed to get my new handphone finally! Yay! Ok, back to tutorials now.

NERF war again?!?!

Yep, that's right folks. You heard me, I went for another NERF war today with my modified Longshot(refer to my previous post for a picture). Today's war was at a park near Bedok Bus Interchange. We had a smaller group today and some new faces turned up. After a few minutes of tweaking and loading of darts, everybody was raring to go. We divided into 2 teams and the 1st game we played was called 'Attackers/Defenders'. Basically, the defenders had to defend a pavilion in the park and the Attackers had to try reach the pavilion. After the game, we switched roles and we played for another 4-5 games. Next was Team Deathmatch, it got really intense as my team was placed at the bottom of the hill which was disadvantageous to us. Finally, the last few matches were VIP escort, which was essentially escorting the VIP to the safe house. NERF is really fun.

Activities from the past few days!

Well, it has been a pretty busy few days with classes and all. I learned that buying from the Popular at foodcourt 5 are for people who just either damn brave, or just plain stupid. Also found out that some people in my class still play Maplestory. Seriously, what the..... Anyway, I tried installing AutoCAD(some design software), but to no avail. I will be trying again later. I still have no idea what colour scheme I should go for with my Longshot. If you do have a serious suggestion, please feel free to leave a tag at my tagbox. Anyways, I am beginning to warm up to my fellow classmates although I still do not understand much of the things they are saying. I also ordered my dustcoat today. Apprently, they do not stock XL, so I have to order 1st and collect later. On a happy note, I wish to announce that I have acheived my rank of Grandmaster in MouseHunt! Will be going to another NERF war this saturday. Well this will be all for now, my next post will come soon.

Yeah... So poly has officially begun. Day 1 of poly involved a lecture in Electronics and a practical in Mechanics. The equipment at the Mechanics lab are really cool. The vernier calipers and micrometer screw gauge were electronic! No more reading of the scale! I also realized that my Electronics lecturer behaves like my former English teacher, Mr Thoedy. Went to the library with Billy after school to read, while waiting for Ryan. I borrowed a couple of books.Then we went to eat at foodcourt 3. Note to self, I don't like the Chicken Chop there. Day 2, woke up really, really early because my lesson started at 8. I had fun at CAD lesson, playing around with the program. However, the lesson was a long stretch at 4 hours long, so by the time class ended, I was pretty worn. Went to return some library books, I like the system to return. Very cool. Had electronics tutorial after that. Basically it was just more talking and we were released not long after that. Had lunch at foodcourt 3 again. Today, I had malay rice. Totally loved the food, it was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S. Went to camp at the library reading again. Read for 2 hours before leaving. Met a couple of my classmates as I left. Went to Clementi to apply for my new ez-link card. Then, I took a bus to my mother's office to pass her my student ID. I will be getting my new phone, so I'm really excited!

Well, the past week was officially my 1st week of poly. Monday was interesting, woke up one hour earlier than I normally would during the holidays to get to school. The whole MM(Mechanical and Manufacturing) freshmen cohort were shoved into the SP auditorium for some speeches and performances. Later, we were sorted into our classes, mine being DARE/FT/1B/25. Second day was SPICE training. Went to SP to meet up with Billy and Ryan for lunch. Met up with a couple of other people as well. After SPICE training we went bowling. Surprisingly, i achieved 2 strikes in a row. Wednesday, was when i went out for modification works on my Longshot. Couldn't find a similar spring as the one they had in the Longshot, so I decided to 'think out of the box' and put a second spring in. Thursday, was SP Flag Day. It was horrible. The only good part of the day was then end when the SP people(Billy, Ryan, Keith, Ming En and Myself) met up with Eugene from Republic Polytechnic for steamboat buffet! Basically spent the whole time trying to convince Eugene to transfer to SP. The only other thing I enjoyed was watching 'Lord of War'. A very enjoyable film which i would recommend all to watch. However, do note that the movie is rated M18. Next week, I hope to better connect with my classmates.

Orientation Day 1

Today was officially my 1st day as a student of Singapore Polytechnic. My class is DARE/FT/1B/25. Well, I hoped that it would be better at poly but its seems that its no different than at Maris Stella.My class has 20 guys and 0 gals. Yeah people thats right, you heard me 0 gals. Means the boy:girl ratio is 1:0. Anyway the programme was kinda cool and it seems that my camp-mate, Zaid, is in the same class as me. At least I know someone in my new class. Backtrack to yesterday, i went to my 1st official NERF war! HELL YEAH! Played using my new Longshot CS-6, I'm going have to modify it though, the more experienced players have Longshots with 3 times my range. Going to do a complete paint job as well. My Longshot CS-6

Haiz, PangYa is still the only game which can keep me entertained for more then 2weeks. Now I found out i need to reinstall my OS, SIAN LAH! Vista isn't that good lor. Cleaned my room and found out my table is full of crap. ewwwwww. Also managed to clear out 1 basket of old electronics and 3 baskets of paper. I still have alot of crap lying around though. I'm going to give a mouse to Ryan because he needs it. Watched Xiaxue's Guide To Life: EP42 - Losing Your Wisdom Teeth but I still need to clear up. Haha. Wonder if i should cook dinner?

Today... Well actually yesterday, we played badminton! Many people went, lazy to list. we played for 3 hours until all wasted. Billy and I then went to beach road to eat! Billy's Black Pepper Pork Chops, had no pepper. HAHA. Now going to sleep zzz good night. Hopefully this blog doesn't die out.

Today woke up like, erm.... EARLY to go cycling. Went to Parkway Parade to meet the gang, essentially, Ming Yang, Darren Ong, Joseph Ng, Gabriel, Wilson, Billy and Christopher. Billy was weird, me smsed me saying I will be late but then he wasn't. Dunno lor. I reach kinda early so I went to Borders to check out manga. Met Wilson, Chris and Gab at the bookshop. Then we felt hungry so went McDonalds. At Macs, i didn't buy anything because too expensive. Bill mat us at Macs. Passes Billy the CS 1.6. Then i went to the hawker centre to buy kway teow and mee. After i ate, we met the rest at the bustop nearby. Walked to east coast park and rented some bicycles(5 lar) for thise who don't have. I is not don;t have but i can't cycle to east coast. Too far. We cycled and cycled for like 2 hours then we reached Changi village. During the journey we stopped many many times for various reasons. Joe injured himself, his toe was bleeding abit. Most of them were pretty slow so we cycled in like 2 groups. Me, Darren, Chris and sometimes Billy, cycle in front. The rest were lagging behind. Ming Yang had to stay with them to guide them.When we reache Changi Village, Gab, Bill and Joe went to eat, the rest of us slack and take care of the bikes. I went to steal Bill and Joe food. Then we cycled back to East Coast. Me, Darren and Christopher cycled together at an average of 22km/h? In fact we were so fast, we had time to buy Burger King and eat finish when we reach back to the bike rental. Then we went to play L4D, again. Versus mode is fun, hahaha can be infected. Well, I tired liao lazy continue writing. Seeya next time.

Trip to Sugnei Road!

Today went to Sugnei Road junk shops, reach there at about 2.20pm. The sun was blazin' but when i reached i saw the most AWESOME place ever. The amount of random knick knacks they sold was huge. Everyone should go Sugnei road once to see. As i was walking, some uncle asked if i wanted to buy pornography.... My brain froze and i was like, don't want, dont want.... then later i met Ming Yang, then go walk again. Then we met Billy, Melvin and Marcus, then we walk again. We explored until 4p.m. then we went to Sim Lim Square to buy Billy's hard drive. Melvin went to get a screen protector for his phone. From there, we walk to Bugis and ended up walking in random circles.. interesting thing happened, the was a fire at Bugis, the fire fighting was EPIC FAIL, the hose was busted and got no water come out, hahahahahaha, in the end they used Fire Extnguishers to put out the blaze. Then went to play L4D! Now back home waiting for telly show!

2nd Day of this blog.... today went to see where to futher my education after poly at Raffles College. Abit sian lah... small campus but the place was pretty neat. I want to go NUS or NTU or maybe oversea to do my university degree though. Watched finished Shakugan no Shana II, i hope got season 3 coz i really need to know what happened between Shana, Yoshida and Yuji! Gonna test my com's endurance tonight for the 1st time. Leaving it on the whole night to bittorrent. Today was pretty nich uneventful... haiz, i need something to do..... *sigh* going to sleep...

Ah, collected Kirk's AKSU-74 from Hexshot, my gun retailer. The gun feels flimsy, its not as nice as the AK-47. Well, it was a good deal for $18, Hex gave me 2 inter-changeable barrels and it was the last one left. Took it out for a spin the day we collected it. Check out Ming Yang's blog. *sigh*, cosplay challenge is over, now need to find something to keep me occupied... Next project, finishing Natascha for my Heavy Weapons Guys cosplay. I really need a bald cap, don't wish to shave bald again. Watching more anime, need inspiration for my next cosplay outfit. Give some ideas! I hope my course in Singapore Polytechnic the people are nice.... I pray that the don't think I'm a psycho/weirdo, coz I'm not... I don't know how to use a blog.... I want to put some pictures up...
